Event Description

GPN is coordinating a field trip to New York on Monday, March 17 for the 58th Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). The CSW is an annual gathering of UN Member States who come together to evaluate progress, identify challenges, and set global standards for the advancement of gender equality and women’s empowerment. Every March, NGO representatives also gather in New York to participate in the proceedings and hold their own events.

We will be attending official side events at the UN and meeting with WWS alumni working on gender equality in New York. All are welcome! This is a great opportunity to learn more about how the UN system works and to get to know some of the major issues and players in global gender equality.
